UAE eInvoicing: 2026 pilot and revised deadline

What has changed?

The pilot phase started in July 2026. For businesses subject to the system with annual revenue of at least AED 50 million, the Ministry specifies 30 October 2026 for appointing an accredited provider. Mandatory implementation remains 1 January 2027. A PDF alone is not a structured eInvoice.

What does this mean for your business?

The pilot does not create an immediate universal obligation. KCM recommends checking the applicable scope and timeline before changing invoicing processes.
